Urban Sketching

If we draw a scene by means of a few strokes, this is only possible through a simplification process that inevitably forces us to think: Why do we choose a certain motif?

And: What makes this moment unique? To what extent does it differ from any other? Why does it become a memory, remaining vivid in our minds?

Our drawing workshop encourages participants not only to learn urban sketching techniques, but also to closely observe their surroundings and understand what they see. In the mental work required, pen-cil and paper become powerful tools for reflection.
